A shout out to Las Vegas business communicators
Those of you who know me know that I’ve spent the better part of the past nine years living and working in the Las Vegas valley. When we moved from there last month we left behind so many great friends, neighbors and colleagues.
When we unloaded our moving truck in the snow in northern Utah, we were abruptly welcomed to this mountain climate. But we’re slowly getting settled and feeling put back together again.
Our family has benefited from the change of pace and scenery.
I’ve received numerous calls, emails, pokes, shout-outs, etc., from friends and colleagues in Vegas over the past few weeks. So this post is in response to them.
With this move, we’ve learned that you should always double the amount of time and money you think it’ll take to get moved. Perhaps a good rule of thumb for any involved project.
And we believe we’ll add to our circle of friends, not deduct from it. We’ll take the best parts of our latest experience and combine them with our new experience here in northern Utah.
For those of you who missed my parting words at the IABC/Las Vegas luncheon on Oct. 6, I’ll link to them here. Those sentiments apply as equally to my friends at PRSA-Las Vegas Valley Chapter.
All the best to all of you, and just know that I’ll be jealous of your weather for these next few weeks. November always was our favorite time of year in Henderson.
