Good Design — it’s okay to be fashion forward, just don’t forsake readability and friendly navigation for the sake of design; a good design incorporates and easy to follow and read format
Content Management — there are so many good tools out there to let lay web people control content, it’s foolish not to utilize one of them
Search Placement — particular attention should be paid to the behind-the-scenes code, making sure everything utilizes descriptions, keywords and proper URL nomenclature
RSS — you need to include an RSS feed for company announcements and perhaps a CEO blog
Interactivity — commonly referred to as social media; you should use your website to facilitate discussion and create online communities; it’s about fostering relationships and creating experiences
