Inspiring hope

A good friend of our family was in Washington, D.C. this month for President Obama’s inauguration. Her relative, who works at the capital, got her tickets in the grandstands behind the podium. She wasn’t far from where all the action, and flubbed-up swearing in, took place.

On her Facebook page she has posted dozens of really beautiful photos. None caught my eye as much as this one did.

This image to me portrays optimism, joy and hope. I love the expression on this man’s face and the promise of the world this little girl calls home.

Your political views may differ, but after seeing this image, don’t you just feel happy for him?
