As professional communicators we know about social media and we understand it by varying degrees. How do we effectively make the case for incorporating social media in our communication campaigns? How do we show return on investment? What avenues are best for individual organizations or clients?

Pete Codella, APR is known as the social media guru of Las Vegas. His marketing and public relations firm, Codella Marketing, focuses on technology based communication tools from online newsrooms to Web sites and blogs.

Codella will share tools of the social media trade and demonstrate how companies and organizations are using social media to further communication campaign goals. He’ll provide concrete examples which can be used to determine if social media is a good fit and how to secure buy-in from key decision makers.

Through case studies and drawing upon Codella’s experience, the presentation and discussion will focus on:
